Illinois Passengers 1961-1968
Illinois issued plates in many configurations during this time period.  They started with all numeric up to 999 999.   When that number was reached, they started with AA 1.  No leading zeroes are used during this period, so possible combinations include AA-1, AA-12, AA-123 or AA-1234.  1961 was the first year plates appeared with letters in the serial.
