Wisconsin...America's Dairyland

Wisconsin Passengers 1982-1995
Wisconsin had three different bases on the roads during this time period.  The red on white base was issued beginning in March of 1987 to replace the blue on white base, issued in June of 1986 (It was thought to look too much like Illinois' plate.  The blue on white plates were recalled starting in 1993, but could be used with stickers until then.  In addition, the black on yellow 1980 base was valid all the way until 1993 with proper validation.
